Founder
Elizabeth "Betty” Martinez (March 1956 -July 2018)founded Little Steps of Faith Preschool in 2012, after retiring from a 25 year career at LAUSD and surviving her first diagnosis of pancreatic cancer. Her love for children and serving God led her to open a place where God's children would have access to a fun and safe place to play, learn and grow spiritually. Her legacy and dream live on through the board of directors, staff and community leaders.

Fernando Martinez
Chairman of the Board
Fernando is a small business owner and active community member in the San Fernando Valley. He is also a member of Light and Life Christain Church where he is a Deacon and member of the Free Methodist Conference.
JENNY VARGAS
Member of the Board
Jenny is tenured school teacher for Los Angeles Unified School District. She has a B.S. in Liberal Studies from California State University, Northridge and M.A. in teaching.

May Wood is tenured school teacher for Los Angeles Unified School District. She has a B.S. in Liberal Studies from California State University, Northridge and M.A. in teaching.

Suzette Valladares
CEO and Executive Director
Suzette was appointed to the board of Little Steps of Faith 501 (c) (3) in September 2018. She is an accomplished Public Affairs professional with a background in nonprofit management. She has degrees from College of the Canyons and California State University Northridge.

Cheryl Pyle
PRESCHOOL TEACHER
Ms. Cheryl has been a preschool teacher for over 30 years. She is a founding member of Little Steps of Faith Preschool and has an A.A. in Child Development. Her expertise is teaching Christian based curriculum.
Christina is lead teacher for our Early Preschool program. Her education background is in community care, She loves working with children , especially in Christian education.
